Speech Therapy Services at CST Academy

Articulation (Pronunciation)

Children who demonstrate stuttering or cluttering can benefit from speech therapy to build self-confidence and learn strategies to promote fluent speech and language.

Feeding Therapy

We support children’s feeding abilities, which may be related to sensory or oral motor challenges to participate in safe, positive mealtime.

Apraxia

We address the motoric component of speech production to help children with Childhood Apraxia of speech build effective communication skills.

AAC

We help children with a wide range of speech and language needs use various forms of alternative and augmentative communication to help them express their thoughts, needs, wants and ideas, and increase independence in their daily lives.

Tongue Thrust

We assist with speech sound errors and address possible swallowing concerns impacted by tongue thrust.

Expressive Language Disorder

We support children in expanding their use of language to effectively communicate. Expressive language skills addressed in therapy may include: expanding vocabulary, utterance length, syntax, grammar.

Pragmatics & Social Language

Using a strengths-based approach, our SLPs help children build pragmatic and social language skills to improve functional communication skills to interact with others in daily life.

Receptive Language Disorder

We support children in their ability to understand language, including: following directions, understanding age-appropriate concepts.
