What Is ABA Therapy?
ABA therapy, short for Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, is the most widely researched and evidence-based treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder. It uses structured, data-driven techniques to help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and everyday life.
At CST Academy, ABA therapy is delivered by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who design individualized treatment plans based on your child's specific strengths, needs, and goals. Every program starts with a comprehensive assessment and evolves as your child makes progress.
What Does ABA Therapy Help With?
- Communication and language development, including requesting, labeling, and conversational skills
- Social skills such as turn-taking, joint attention, and play with peers
- Self-care and daily living skills like toileting, dressing, and feeding
- Reducing challenging behaviors including tantrums, aggression, and self-injury
- School readiness, including following instructions, sitting in a group, and transitioning between activities
- Emotional regulation and coping strategies
Who Is ABA Therapy For?
ABA therapy is most commonly recommended for children between the ages of 2 and 12 who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It is also effective for children with developmental delays, attention difficulties, and behavioral challenges, even before a formal diagnosis is in place. Early intervention produces the strongest outcomes, but children of all ages can benefit from a well-designed ABA program.
Why ABA at CST Academy Is Different
Most ABA providers offer ABA therapy in isolation. At CST Academy, your child's ABA therapist works alongside speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists in the same building, on the same team, with a shared treatment plan. This integrated approach means skills learned in ABA sessions are reinforced across every therapy your child receives, leading to faster, more consistent progress.

Why Families Choose CST Academy
Here is what actually happens inside our building that you will not find at other ABA providers.
Integrated Care Under One Roof
Your child's BCBA, speech therapist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist all work in the same building, every day. They share notes, coordinate goals, and adjust treatment plans together in real time. No referrals to outside providers, no gaps in communication, no repeating your child's story to a new office.
Low Therapist-to-Child Ratios
Every child receives one-on-one attention from a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician, supervised directly by a BCBA. Our therapists carry smaller caseloads than the industry average so they can give your child the focused time they need to make meaningful progress.
BCBAs Who Know Your Child by Name
Your child's BCBA is not managing 30 cases from a remote office. They are on-site, observing sessions, training your child's RBT, and meeting with you regularly to review progress and update goals. You will always know who is leading your child's care.
Measurable Progress You Can See
We track data on every session and share it with you in clear, understandable reports. You will see exactly what your child is working on, how they are progressing, and what comes next. No vague updates, just real numbers showing real growth.
Family Training and Support
ABA therapy works best when skills carry over into daily life. We provide regular parent training sessions so you can reinforce your child's progress at home, at school, and in the community. Your family is part of the team.
A Welcoming, Purpose-Built Environment
Our centers are designed specifically for pediatric therapy, with sensory-friendly spaces, structured therapy rooms, and group activity areas. Every detail is intentional, from the layout to the lighting, to help your child feel safe, comfortable, and ready to learn.

Your Child's ABA Therapy Team
Every child at CST Academy is supported by a team of licensed, experienced professionals who specialize in pediatric autism therapy.
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
Your child's BCBA is a licensed behavior analyst with a master's degree and advanced training in applied behavior analysis. They design your child's individualized treatment plan, set measurable goals, and supervise every aspect of your child's ABA therapy program. Our BCBAs hold active BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and maintain Illinois state licensure as Licensed Behavior Analysts.
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
Your child's RBT delivers direct, one-on-one ABA therapy sessions under the supervision of a BCBA. Every RBT at CST Academy has completed the required training and certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and receives ongoing coaching and mentorship from their supervising BCBA.
Collaborative Specialists
Because CST Academy offers speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy alongside ABA, your child's behavior analyst works directly with licensed speech-language pathologists (SLPs), occupational therapists (OTs), and physical therapists (PTs) to create a coordinated care plan. This team approach means your child's ABA goals are reinforced across all therapies.

What Families Say About CST Academy
Real parents, real progress, real results from integrated ABA therapy.
My son graduated from CST Academy after receiving ABA, speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy all in one place. The team prepared him beautifully for his transition to CPS schools.
We could not be more grateful. He started attending when he turned 3, and after years of love, care, and support, he graduated. The ABA therapists were outstanding — especially Kiley.
My two young sons attended CST for ABA, OT, and speech. I have had experience with most of the big autism companies in the area, and CST is the best. Both kids were always so happy to get dropped off.
